Fibre Optics
« on: December 10, 2012, 08:57:54 AM »
I'm starting to plan the lighting of my layout and thinking about LEDs and/or fibre optics.

I've ordered a few LED yard lamps that look OK and considering alternatives to LEDs for interior lighting.

Can anyone offer info or advice with regard to using fibre optics on their layout?

Thanks

Dave G

As promised Dave  heres the link  for  warm  white SMD's  these are larger & easier to handle compared to the 0603 size ones, highly reccomended ebay seller here always quick  :claphappy:

Mentioned in my previous post they do go on  strip   PCB  boards well  ........  pics to follow, sorry  i  was on my phone at work replying  to you  earlier,  with  fibre optics  light  is very weak  unless you have bunches of fibres  SMD's are small   &   give far more light compared.

Hi

Apologies for not thanking you earlier, for some reason I'm not getting the usual email to advise a reply. Perhaps because the topic has been moved to the right place!

I'll take a look at the link. Thanks again for the info.
