Well its just started snowing here, looks fantastic already and only been a few minutes.

Anyone else got snow already?
OK who took my cake?

Tank

Yes, it landed here at 8:30am - Surrey that is!

I have to admit, I hope we get quite a lot. last time we did a few friends and I went snow boarding on the westwood. Never thought it possible until we tried it

Although it does seem to cause chaos on the transport network.
OK who took my cake?

No snow so far and could really do without it for this week and next

Sorry to be a killjoy, but I hope we don't get snow. For some of us it's very bad for business  :(

And so it begins alright, took the dog for a walk last night after a top temp of 38C, the heat from the footpath and roads was unbelievable, no breeze and it was like walking into an oven, that was up North where I live, down South in Victoria the Alps got snow lucky ducks.

Had a very severe Thunderstorm pass through Auckland today, flash flooding and all sorts of dramas at hand. Hobsonville and Whenuapai - both outer suburbs of Auckland out West were struck by a Tornado that has left 3 dead, 7 injured last count and about 300 homeless.

I was totally unaware of the chaos I was heading towards when I was sent out with a pair of Light Locomotives to rescue an SA set with a loco suffering Ground Relays - I found some flash flooding and got soaked when coupling up, thankfully didn't go past Henderson but had no idea I was heading towards a Tornado.

Not a good day  :(
