Just wondering what people are hoping to buy at Warley next weekend?

I'll be stopping off at the NGS stand and looking for a Class 57 in FGW livery.

portland-docks

me?

im looking for numerous things...

i was going to get some inspection saloons from the ngs but im going to change that to a snow plough if there is one, unless i can find one cheaper at any stands.

im also on the hunt for some good cheap rolling stock, coaches which i can run normally, or ones i can airbrush or decal into new liveries.

wagons, always happy for some wagons, especially bass brewery ones!

im also going to be looking for some winter figures, cheap point motors maybe, anything i could use on my new layout which hopefully may be in warley next year :)

im trying to stay away from buying locos though! i have more locos than available trains to pull so with 3 more locos arriving before xmas i want to try stay away from buying any....unless i see a 4p or something going cheap then i could pick one up, then i could have one dcc one dc :)

who knows, im going to be in there early on saturday though with my advance ticket, get the bargains while i can before it gets busy! then enjoy my day and watch trains go by in exhibitions :)

im going to be wearing a turquoise sweatshirt, and if its cold a 76084 fleece so watch out for me :)

Sadly, I'm not able to get to the show but that hasn't stopped me spending more than my 'layout allowance' over the last couple of weeks!

I am now the proud owner of 9 various locos + a DMU and a two rakes of coaches, GWR and BT maroon plus a growing collection of wagons including 6 yet unmade Peco kits. There's also a shunter on it's way from the Rails sale and a pre-order Dapol GWR autocoach.

Squeezing all that onto a layout just 72x30 is a bit ambitious. The New Year Plan is a bigger house and then a Bigger Layout, but I'm not holding my breath!

Have a great time at Warley and I look forward to reading all about it here on the forum.  :photospleasesign: if that's poss.

I want to have a look for some suitable buildings for my Polish layout - and, if anything suitable in the rolling stock just happens to catch my eye, then it may well jump into my bag leaving the credit card to take the hit...  :-[

I'm not going either, but like Dave G, I've blown the budget a bit the last couple of weeks anyway!  I've replaced my EZ Command with a Zephyr, and I have a Locobuffer on order in preparation for Santa bringing me some CML goodies to really start putting DCC to use.

I'm hoping the Dapol pannier tanks won't all have disappeared by the time I get some spending money again...

Not a lot.. in fact my calendar between now and about August just got completely trashed as I'm looking after a family member about to go in for surgery/chemotherapy/radiotherapy for cancer.

Must admit missing Warley doesn't seem importan or a hardshipt on the larger scale of things right now.

Not much on my list, pick up my pre-ordered NGS inspection saloon from the NGS stand, but apart from that just see what there is around.

A few more Farish Presflos and/or the new LNER vans wouldn't go amiss. Loco wise nothing big on my "want" list until the Farish Ivatt and J39 eventually get released and they are already on pre-order. Maybe there will be a decorated Ivatt on show at the Bachmann stand to drool over :).

The days of new releases being launched, cool surprises and big announcements at Warley seem to be a thing of the past now, which means it seems a bit more civilised, which is nicer, especially as I will be there with my good lady. In fact shock-horror I'll have to go and look at some layouts!

I'll have 5 new kits available, hopefully, 3 are packed just need to finish the other 2. I'll also have samples of my next 3 wagon kits. The 5 new kits are 3 small buildings and 2 etched fences.
Wagons are BR Gunnell, GWR Cordon and LNER / GWR Parrott.

See you at Warley.

Oh to be single again(not really) but with Xmas coming and small kids in the house, warley is in the wrong part of the year for me these days. Had a b&g saloon on order since march, and a scratch built breakdown crane in the post so can't complain!

My thoughts are with you too.
Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy

Not a vast amount, anymore ... still have no heating (7 days now - thank god the sparkie sorted the immersion for hot water !) in the house ...  Looks like we'll be investing in a multi-fuel stove sometime in the next few months !!!  And I need to get some work done on the garage roof :(

So - if I hadn't already bought the tickeis last Saturday (timing, eh ? ), we wouldn't go this year ...

Will have a look around, meet some friends, might be picking up an RSU (Christmas pressie to me from SWMBO) if they have one, might have a look @ the Hush-Hush kits in OO again (I wants one  :heart2:) ...  Will pop over to the OO Live Steam stand, see about having my Silver Link run, pulling my first two Silver Jubilee coaches  :heart2:
