Some people have great fun, and get paid for it.

Given the solid aluminium wheels if it works I think they should then put flanged wheels on it and pinch the rail record back from the French 8)

I met Andy Green, I think he was still a Pilot Officer then as well, when he was involved with the ThrustSSC project, blimey over 10 years ago now  :o :o, I worked for DEC then and we were hosting and sponsoring the website for them. We were invited to have a look at ThrustSSC.

Now being an ex-RAF man, I spoke to Andy and mentioned how much ThrustSSC looked like a Buccaneer without wings, he said to me "For god sake don't let Richard (Noble) hear you say that, he'll go off on one" This was said with the biggest grin on his face.

I'm sorry, but ThrustSSC does look like a Buccanneer without wings  :D :D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ThrustSSC

Good luck to the guys, at least this is British Engineering and something that we are still good at, the one offs....

I hate to think what the final mpg is, with having to use a Cosworth F1 engine (V12?) as a fuel pump!!!
