Hi, Mine arrived last week, gave it a test run (after oiling) on the Berkshire Area Group test track, seems to run very well in both directions. Although won't take 9" curves as expected!!
I am not sure that the boiler hand rails should be painted blue? I would have expected them to be brass?
Hope to give it a full run on Saturday on our 4 track modular layout, see www.bagladdies.weebly.com for details of our location, visitors always welcome.
Should it be pulling BR Maroon or Blood and Custard stock?

Well gresley actually has black handrails, and during the summer it hauls teaks, but otherise she looks rather good with blood and custards, see below...

Sng with teaks
http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=sir+nigel+gresley+nymr&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=-CE-UKWUJcrQ0QXm1YGIBA&biw=768&bih=928&sei=-yE-UL7FIuau0QX9tYDoDg#biv=i|2;d|Mp4c68Uv2pQwzM:

In that page you will see her hauling teaks and blood custards, iv only ever see her haul maroons on the mainline....west coast railways kinda thing...

Thanks for the link, it would seem that she is seen pulling any stock in preservation.

I was thinking of the post 1948 -1956 era?

During that era i would imagine most stock was br blood and custard, with some services still know to have teak sets. I personally think, that e following liveries match the following stock...

Br blue-blood and custard
Lner blue- teak
Br green- maroon

Thanks, that confirms what I was thinking, as she is in BR Blue, I will sort out both Blood & Custard and my Maroon stock.
I'll try and post some pics next week!

when i get round to buying mine

Act fast if i were you. Due to the limited number of these (200 i think)  imagine they will not be hanging around.
