Passed away 28/10/2026. Remembered fondly as Captain Picard in StarTrek TNG, and as Professor Xavier in the X Men movies.

A big loss, I saw him on stage in Shakespeare's "The Tempest" and loved his Sci-Fi roles, especially Captain Jean-Luc Pickard (Star Trek TNG).

A really sad loss. Sir Patrick was a great humanitarian, as well as an actor, championing causes such as Amnesty International and even pitbull rescue. He will be greatly missed.

Very sad, this one. Obviously TNG is what he'll be best known for, but his performance in Macbeth is what finally made Shakespeare click for me. A proper thespian too - I would have loved to have seen him perform on a stage.

He made being bald sexy, for which he has my lifelong thanks.

Make it so!

So sad :(  I'd like to think the crew of the Enterprise had a suitable ceremony for him led by Riker before firing Jean-Luc into space in a capsule for his final voyage.
Patrick Stewart was a great model railway fan as I constantly heard him state "N gauge"

Our household is still in a state of denial. A very fine actor on stage and screen, a great advocate for equality and a vocal campaigner against domestic violence, and a dog lover to boot. A true gentleman.
