Suspected scam attempt email

[Firstone18]

Our club chairman received an email via a link shown on our website. This allegedly came from a Jean Edmund who claimed they lived in Rennes, France. they were offering a large collection for sale, asking E4000. There were no details of what was in the collection or a link to any pictures. They did offer to send pictures and further details to anyone interested in purchasing this collection.
I was asked to send this to all our club members; I am club secretary and have all member's emails.
One of our members who is very well versed in IT delved into the origin of the email and discovered it is a scam attempt. The pictures he found relating to this were the same as a German website where someone was genuinely selling their collection of Marklin, Fleischmann and Roco stock.

I posted this to warn all NGF members of this incident; the sender's email is a gmail.com address, with the name of landoisarnaud6.

I hope this is seen by as many NGF members as possible so nobody loses any money.
