Fingers crossed, but sadly our PHP version is very out of date, due to compatibility of the modifications.  With a lack of sponsors, I just haven't been able to go ahead with that sort of maintenance.  I will approach someone to see what can be done, and hopefully they can also fix the Alerts issue.

Scary that so many websites are going down around the world.

Just an update.  Someone who has a lot of experience in all things to do with 'Simple Machines Forum' will be helping to rescue the forum.
