I'm trying to fit the provided snowploughs to a recently bought (new) Class 31. However, I'm not finding the instructions very clear - two arrows leading from the snowplough in the direction of the bufferbeam but, to what, I can't tell. I've looked on the model and can easily see the holes for brake pipes, etc. but I'm wondering whether I have to remove the bodyshell to get to the snowplough holes?

No need to remove the bodyshell, just the rapdio coupling. The class 31 instruction sheet is on the Bachmann Spares' website:
https://bachmann-spares.co.uk/file/F7111-3-Class-31-2020.pdf

If you download it you'll be able to zoom in to figure 2 to see that the snowploughs fit into two holes on the buffer beam, one either side of where the coupling hook would be.

Thanks for your response. I've tried fitting where the holes are indicated (I've tried all around the area) but there are no corresponding holes. Could it be that there are no holes because the prototype for my model didn't carry snowploughs? (Long shot, but it's the only thing I can think of - the holes for all of the other bufferbeam parts are clear to see.)

Cheers

Possibly, but we'd need to know which model you have to help with that!

Might be worth asking Bachmann/Farish - it could be a factory error.

If you're feeling brave, it should be possible to drill holes in the right place on the buffer beam to allow the ploughs to be fitted.

It's the RTC 31 (ice cream van livery?) part number 371-113. I guess I could try to drill holes. I'm not too good with that sort of thing, tho. Might not be able to get the holes lined up properly. I think a wonky snowplough wouldn't look good  :*(  As far as I know, this loco didn't get fitted with ploughs but I'm not bothered about that, I'm kind of trying to decide whether get to get a TT120 Class 31 when they're released (I've got a bit of TT120 as a bit of a side project). I've got a thing about snowploughs and rather like locos fitted with them!
