Headline from this quarter's announcements is that EFE are releasing a Class 23 Baby Deltic in multiple examples.

Other items of note are two-car Class 101 DMUs in Green,  blue, and Regional Railways colour schemes, including sound examples, TPO carriages, and GBRF HYA wagons, and 8 plank private owners wagons (4 examples).

Was going to say the Bachmann announcements was poor for N.

Farish only doing new run of (sound fitted) 101s, some postal coaches, old coal and modern coal hoppers (GBRF).

But

EFE have announced the class 23 baby Deltic, which is good for some?

Actually putting some perspective on it, look at all the "obscure" diesels now being offered?

A few years ago, having class 17. 23 and 41 in N gauge would have seemed a little far fetched!

Graham Muz on RMWeb (Kernow product development chap) has stated that the Baby Deltic does not use anything from the previously touted DJM project, which suggests that Kernow are responsible for bringing this model to EFE.

Maybe a mod merge?

Skyline2uk

Yes a great idea, but it won't be Mick @Newportnobby doing the merging cos he's been wanting a baby deltic for years, and he'll be partying. I only hope his pacemaker keeps going  :smiley-laughing:

V2 60800 Green Arrow in BR green is a "must have" for me so I logged on to the "Collectors Club" part of the Bachmann site with great excitement to buy one, only to find that the sound fitted ones show "sold out". I am assuming that they are actually not in stock yet in reality, but am querying.

Every EFE box I have has "distributed on behalf of KMRC" on it so much to thank that retailer for.

Been after a green DMU for a while so that's welcome and will find a home for a 23 too.

So for me, when I add in a 46 in the post somewhere too, it's a good day to be in n gauge.

An NEM coupling upgrade to their MK1 suburban would be a welcome future move to tie in with the Baby Deltic

Thankfully years after expressing an interest in DJM ones it finally gets made

Sound 37, 20 etc next please :)

I was going to say nothing for me here.

I have never seen any evidence of them on southern metals (despite having evidence for classes 15/16 from Stratford and 24/25/27 from Willesden)

But I'm still thinking about it. Might wait for the EFE cut price sale, as they did with class 41s earlier this year.

Newportnobby

The class 23 is a bit niche but I hope it sells well.
Seems I've morphed into ordering virtually anything I remember from my spotting days.
Even the one Napier engine sounded awesome leaving Kings Cross and heading into Gasworks Tunnel :heart2:

Oh dear. Snap. I weakened in less than 3 1/2 hours and ordered D5905, based on longevity of use in my favourite livery.
I used to like going to Finsbury Park and wandering down to the Sheds. Usually lots of Deltics on shed, and Pullman "Doris" by the station.

martyn

Who's going to build a model of Finsbury Park shed or Stratford works to park their failed baby Deltic in?

Seriously, I hope it does well, as it seems to have had a lot of requests or suggestions.
