Looking forward to the NSE 50, although I hope in time they also release the mark 2 NSE 50 as well  :Dapol:

Im sure they will produce a 'Revised' NSE 50 eventually but i think with all there products they like to see how the 1st initial batch sells first. I would love to see a few more later liverys for example 50007 GW 150, 50008 BR Blue with white roof (The Laira job) 50015 Dutch, 50149 Railfreight General. Model rail may even commission Dapol to produce D400 as there N gauge Ltd Edt for all the railtour nuts !! :P

After see'ing the list yesterday of the new locos i am certainly a happy boy  Once again, well done Dapol.

Cheers, Anthony

These were on my list for the N gauge forum survey.I never would have thought that Dapol would've stole Farish's thunder though by producing a hoover.Although I model the East Coast Mainline,a lot of class 50's were refurbished at Doncaster so once completed they were run about locally before running back down to the western region.
So that is my justification for pre ordering one in BR blue unrefurbished and refurbished large logo BR blue.
My wallet is going to take some hammer I think.

They are looking to produce NSE livery, blue and large logo blue. Something for you to look forward to.

Dapol are hoping to have a preproduction sample on their stand at Warley 2012 along with the class 59. That means any forum member better go armed with a camera because we need pictures! :smiley-laughing:

Cheers

Hi true to my word i am moving back to N and the reason is the Dapol 50, can not wait tbh have preordered 3
50040 Leviathan Large Logo
50037 Illustrious ONSE X2 one of which i will renumber 50035 and lightly weather coutesy of Ian of Mercig so i need to get saving as got to biuld or buy a layout to run them on.
I do hope Dapol deliver the goods as the only reason i had not to model N was the very POOR FARISH TOY, now i can go back and held my head up high.Well done Dapol :Dapol:

This is brilliant NEWS bben a 50 follower since the early 80's with lack of space, N is the best way to go for me but thw awful woeful poor excuse of a toy that Farish produce made me say NO and i switched to OO because of Hornby's model , but now my Hornby Vac;s will be sold and i have pre ordered 50040 Leviathan in Large Logo a top engine for me , 50037 Illustrious ONSE another top engine in fact top 10 engine for me, and also ordered another 50037 which i will have reunmberd to 50035 my BEAST and pride and joy complete with 35 above headlight in black numerals both ends, correct white window cab door frames, and lightly weathered with painted axleboxes with red stripe and will be done by Ian of mercig, can not wait :Dapol:

Very excited by the news of a Hoover from Dapol as I model the West Country in the early 70’s. I will certainly be pre-ordering an unrefurbished one (or two), but hope the wait is not as long as it has been for the Dapol Western because it has been ages since that was announced. I don't have a Farish version of the Hoover, having been put off by comments on this forum about the poor cab shape and overall lack of detail (to say nothing about the challenge of fitting DCC to that old Grafar split frame chassis).

The only twist in the tail is that I have a 50 on order from CJM, which has set me back a buck or two believe me. It is in the post on its way to me in the US as I type this. I am sure I will be delighted, but it will be interesting to see how the Dapol version stacks up when it is released...

Think you will be chuffed to bits with CJM 50 till RTR Dapol hits the shelves with working lights, comparable (well actually sorry no, possibly better) running.

I base this on having purchased a number of expensive loco's bought over the years but nothing prepared me for my Dapol 58's performance and that is now my benchmark for running comparisons.
