I hope they didn't shatter when they landed on the ground.

"Should have gone to Iceland"

I'll get my coat.

My response to Bob G's Icelandic quip is simply to say that when my son and his partner went on holiday to Iceland last year, one of the first things they saw from their coach, on the journey from the airport to Reykjavik, was a large supermarket... a branch of - ICELAND!! I've seen the photo. My son added that the British passengers on the coach burst out laughing, leaving the others looking somewhat baffled!

And yes, I know that it's off topic... sorry folks!

My favourite when I visted Iceland some years ago was that they had a slightly dubious club called "Club Clinton"

When I was there in July'24 it was full of Americans saying that they'll be able to brag about going to Europe plus " doesn't it ever get dark?"  ;D
S&D lives on - sort of!

A friend went to Iceland once, he said that the weather was a bit changeable. They had rain, hail, sleet, snow, sun and fog - then the airport bus reached the hotel  :smiley-laughing:

We did spring as that was both when they conference got organized and the best time of year apparently - enough ice and snow to go out with low tyre pressures and drive up glaciers with people hanging out of the doors looking for crevasses but no flies.

Was a lot of fun. Did mean we missed out on midnight golf.

That said I've actually been in Swansea with rain in the front garden, dry in the back garden and snow falling further up the road and a rainbow so ...
