Ahoy all

Does anyone do an etch for the 47/7 Trombone Pipes?

Or am I going to have to bend some wire... (The bending bit is normally fine, keeping the rest of it straight can be a bit of a trial...)

Sorry don't know of any but if you find some I'd like to know so I can replace the poorly bent wire one on my ancient Lady Dianna Spencer,

BH Enterprises have come in as a potential supplier.

To be honest I'm still a bit upset that Farish left them off the new tool ones, being as they are a particularly distinctive aspect.

If you make your own trombones I would recommend the wire used by florists/flower arrangers.

This is very soft, not at all springy, so it stays in shape when bent into convoluted piping

I think West Hill Wagon Works still do them in OO. I did email them some time ago about an N version but can't recall their response. Perhaps it's worth another try if we all do it.

It doesn't look like they'll be around much longer - Companies House lists them as struck off as of last week and the company dissolved as of Tuesday 15th July.

Thats a shame good job I ordered some Hunt magnetic knuckle couplings in advance of the Future Dapol Chiltern Railways 5 Coach set due out soon .
I wonder what has gone wrong ? and why the company has been disolved ?

That seems surprising, and would be a shame.

A well run company doesn't consistently submit its accounts late, and it certainly doesn't have compulsory strike off notices issued three years in a row. Great products, but the boring practicalities of actually running a business appears to have passed them by.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what these are? And what they were used for? And photos...?
Some of my 3d print designs can be found on Cults3d, and I blog about them here.

Behold the 47/7 Trombone Pipes in all their glory (or compressor cooling pipes, if you insist). When they started the push pull services they found there were issues with water in the air system and unpredictable operation of the internal doors in the Mk 3s so they added the extended air pipes by the battery box. A very distinctive signature of the 47/7, especially as painted white.
