I think I'd prefer the stock to be run; it really needs a 1930s Southern afficionado to do it justice, is there another N gauge Adams A12 0-4-2, or Drummond K10 4-4-0, or Narrow cab T9 with Watercart tender? Maunsell open thirds, ex LSWR Ironclad Restaurant car, Ex LSWR push pull set with push pull fitted M7s.Most freight stock is Peco or Farish.

Model wise again a display cabinet or two and or a diorama?
When my Mum was in care a bloke who had had a large 00 layout had two display cases on the wall.
Agree its not the same but a nice reminder to have?

They are working models and deserve to be run, not left in a display case gathering dust.
If all else fails I'd donate them to the local area group

What about doing yourself a small 00 shelf arrangement? I realise it's not your favourite gauge, but it may keep you modelling to some degree.

Wash your mouth out!!!! -the only time I touched 00 was a christmas present for the boys in the early '60s they had virtually no interest, it lasted less than 6 months. I did have 0 gauge as a kid during WW2, that went - along with the Mecanno - when I discovered girls.

You will be a great loss to the modelling community, Mike ... although I hope you will continue to drop by and offer your words of wisdom to those in need of advice.

If you have any stock that really deserves to be restored to its proper (pre-grouping) livery then let me know what you have for sale, and I'll see if I can find the funds from somewhere to pay your asking price (or even a little over ... )

Thanks for the offer Jeremy, however one of the local area group members has a table selling stock at shows so most is going that way, other bits and pieces, plastic, card and some tools etc are going to the area group for use by the group or group members.
