Lifetime wish granted last night when the Aurora Borealis was visible even in deepest Sussex:



Deep joy!!

And huge thanks to our lovely neighbours who alerted us.

It's cloudy today, so tonight is a no-goer, but we are hopeful for a repeat tomorrow.

Visible in Canberra too at an even 15 degrees lower latitude than the southern UK. Unfortunately, I was too lazy to get out of bed to have a look.
