Question how is it that class 33 will be available Q3 2022 if I can't get the streak until the end of 2022 ? Class 33 must be next year.

There are lies, damn lies, and delivery dates :)

Your right there Bob lost count of how many times I have been told when delivery will come. :hmmm: roger

We are told that Dapol decide their priorities based on advanced orders so it is quite probable that the order in which re-runs arrive is decided by how the order books are looking. That would certainly make good business sense. Dapol say they get information on advanced orders from shops so if you fancy a particular Dapol product you will probably help yourself by placing an advance order.

Dapol themselves have said that the West Country has not had good pre-orders and that is the reason it is not getting high priority. They say they have found pre-orders to be a good indicator as to how a model will sell. So get your pre-orders in if you want your favourite project to get priority.

Meanwhile, a gratuitous photo of 33 020 from the last batch. I just have this one 33 but I do like it a lot. It seems to capture the feel of the real thing very well indeed and she runs smoothly and quietly. As with all stock she has had the benefit of light weathering.

Working doesn't seem to be the perfect thing for me so I'll continue to play.

But that's a 'chicken and egg' situation. Until Dapol say they'll go ahead why would anyone pre order one?

I was referring to the order I which they work on items that have been announced and are available for pre-order.

Another two 33s have been announced as part of the Gaugemaster collection:

•   GM2210601 - 33021 'Eastleigh' in Post Office red
•   GM2210602 - 33025 in West Coast Railway Company maroon

Both should look rather nice.

Gratuitous photo, but to my mind, the best ever livery for a 33 in far to much of a closeup :)

It is well known that a vital ingredient of success is not knowing that what you're attempting can't be done.

Currently packing all my model railway stuff for my move to Canada in April when a whole new chapter starts in Modelling.

I made the mistake of pre ordering two Gaugesmaster 73's. I'm still waiting for the Electric Blue one.

Remind me again, how many years ago was that?  :veryangry:

I'm not making that mistake again.
