Oil or grease? Again?

I know this has been asked a million times before. I have some Gaugemaster GM619 Precision Lubricator Oil, is this the ONLY stuff I need? I don't know if it is good for plastic as I cannot find any real info about it. Some say use grease, others a definite no no. I normally go about in a confused state, this is just adding to it.
Sorry for repeating what has already been asked a million times before but times change, so does technology.

I use the GM619 and have done for ages. Only on gears and steam loco motion connections, though.
Use extremely carefully - basically if you can see the oil you've used too much.

If GM sell it for use on model railways you'd expect it to be plastic friendly surely? You could always ping them an email enquiry for confirmation.

Personally I prefer Labelle 106 PTFE grease for gear teeth lubrication, and reserve the thin oil for bearings and linkages.  For both substances only use the absolute tiniest amount on the end of a pin and only if definitely needed.
