Have to say though the experience of being pushed down the corridor to the theatre laying in a bed for the first time in my life, was at least a bit daunting.

Pleased everything went well.

You were very fortunate that you were wheeled down in a bed. When I had my surgery, I had the embarrassment of walking down to theatre dressed in only my gown and surgical socks, passing all manner of folks giving me strange looks. I looked like a poor imitation of Henry the Eighth.  :) :uneasy:

Outcome was good though.

The hospital accommodation was excellent too!

Certainly enough room for a small layout :D

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Glad all went well, Dave. I know from bitter experience with hernia ops the difference between NHS and private hospitals - chalk and cheese (and that was just the food in the NHS hospital!!) ;)

Mr Sprue

As this was my first ever major operation I realise I have been so fortunate to receive the care I did and in a private hospital as well. I've visited family in local NHS hospitals to realise that.

I think the moral to this latest episode in my life is stay keeping fit but don't try to workout like a thirty year old. Sports injuries can be very painful as these past eighteen months have just proven!  :-[

Glad everything went well with your op and we all said there was nothing to worry about ,Ive been out for the count  three times and as you said the  wierdest  part is  being wheeled back after the op .
Best wishes on your recovery ,

So pleased to hear it all went well. We told you, didn't we!

Your room looks great - but it's still a hospital, and not a place you really want to be  ;)

Take care and recuperate.
