baseboards?

Never had any problems with Sundeala board and have always used it since the early 60's.

I loathe Sundela (the modern stuff) - the old stuff was different and a very good baseboard, the new stuff is ewww.... 8)

Another choice for a fixed layout is MDF. It's heavy, it needs sensible framing and (as with plywood) you should wear a mask when cutting it. But it's cheap and you can often get big offcuts.

For anything movable its horrible stuff due to the weight but for fixed stuff I think its ok, and indeed I've got fiddle yards on it.
