An NCB Shredded Wheat Loco.

Hi guys, Going through my bits box today and found an old shredded wheat loco that I repainted years ago. I think it was the first locomotive that I ever attempted to repaint when I was a kid.
Anyway, I'm going through a bit of an NCB or perhaps, a quarry type phase and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions at what I could modify it into? I do have a chassis to go with it, which is always a good start.
Any suggestions or ideas?

Hi Rob - we discussed Barry coal tank 0-6-2s last year. A Farish pony truck at the back, and you're not far off several of the coal tanks that dragged Welsh coal from the valleys to the ports.

This example, preserved near here, can't be the only prototype that went to work for the NCB directly.

Can't help with your query, but I'm curious to know what chassis you have that will fit the Shredded Wheat loco, as I have one myself.

I remember. And I still keep toying with the idea.
But now i am really really really getting into the idea of doing something. I'm just looking at the possibilities.
Also, I'm still waiting for you to have another crack with that Barry loco.

As for my chassis, it's just a Farish chassis with the slightest of modifications. I'll put a picture up when I get five minutes at home.

Mains powered mini drill received for Christmas. I'll need that to grind out the Liquid-Gravity-filled-Isopon I packed the boiler with to balance the motor in the coal bunker!

Anyway, I really don't think that there is much out there for a medium size tank engine?
I think that I will stick to an 0-6-0 design for now.
