I'm certain they're pristine, Bachmann list them as pristine, there's no "W" in their product description, the photos show pristine.

I ought make my LTF-25 bogies fit them too I guess :)

It's a bit of a shame it looks like the pristine NP ones are still coded HKA though, it would have been better to make them JMAs, as they were when they actually looked that good!

If you would like a test subject for fitting those bogies the JMAs (I believe the CJM versions are so coded?) then count me in  :D

Yeah, they are. I'll have a look at it. It may be a straight fit with the ones for the JHAs, I'll have to check. I don't know if the JMAs had smaller than average wheels (the JHAs did), or whether you could just reuse the Farish 5.5mm wheelsets. I'll add it to the 'list of things I must get around to"!

The new batch of Class 170 2-car sets have arrived. No indication if they have been modified for DCC - they look identical to previous versions. Priced at just under £180.00, it seems rather steep for a lower-spec model.

Agreed, releasing a model these days with no concessions to DCC comparability, and charging a fair premium for it is a tough ask.
