Bandai B Train Shorty
« on: July 11, 2020, 10:23:54 AM »
 :hellosign:
I ordered this from Plaza Japan:
Bandai B-Train Shorty Tokyu Railway Series 5080 Meguro Line 2 Cars Set (N scale) and I built it as you can see on the pics bellow. I need four Kato 11-099 bogies to put that funny train on the track. When I'll be a little bit rich, I'll buy a Kato 11-105 motorised chassis. All your comments and criticisms will be greatly appreciated.

An interesting concept, trying to fit as much train as possible into a small space. I'd be tempted to stretch my photos to make it look normal again!

There was a thread on the forum regarding the Bandai B Shorty not so long ago, but can I find it? No! I am sure I posted on the thread, so will have another look later. I will be interested in how you get on with this @Charost - keep us informed.

I dis a search on Amazon and found them. Some of the suppliers, from Japan, are being cautious, due to the virus, and may be slower onn posting at the moment.

Had a very nice set of messages with one such supplier comparing life in lockdown.

I know that I only have the half of this train. So I must order the rest asap.

The four Kato 11-099 bogies arrived today. I'm very pleased with the result. I found this mini layout (1' x 1') in my so well-stored garage.   :D For now, it will do the trick.

First run of my Bandai B-train shorty. Because I don't have a Kato 11-105 motorised chassis, I use an old 11-103. It runs very well:
