The Dia 346 BTKs don't seem to have been built for general service until 1948; so the 'E' prefix, and no suffix, is probably as Kahedron says. At least one was built in plum and spilt milk, and also only has the prefix E and not suffix.

A small batch was built in 1947 for the 'Flying Scotsman'; numbered 1901-4.

This afternoon Rails took payment off me for three Thompson carriages.
I'm looking forward to receiving them next week.

My three Blood and Custard carriages, Brake/Third, Composite and All Third, have arrived at Peter's Spares.

I hope to pick them up shortly.

Picked a couple up from FMR. Does anyone else think the Crimson is too 'Maroon' ?
Wonder if I can get any more of these nice black wheels to match as these aren't the same as my NGS bg (or the mk 1's, they are slightly smaller, but not as small as those you get on suburbans ) they were to run with  - not that many people are going to notice once I get round to painting them all  dark brown...

It is a regular complaint with Farish's shade of Crimson. I am inclined to agree and it is not just the Thompsons that suffer from this.
