North London Railway Coached from Etched Pixels
« on: February 02, 2020, 01:01:11 PM »
Something a bit different.  I wanted some older stock to run with the Farish C Class, Terriers and other similar aged locos.  these are 3D prints from Etched Pixels and are relatively generic for the period.  I have finished them as wood panelled to the NLR pattern and how they continued to run in LMS guise.

They look good.

What's the detail like on the sides, it's difficult to tell from the pictures. For instance, are they better detailed than the old GraFar carriages, are they as detailed as the new BachFar carriages. Just trying to gauge the level of detail.

Do you have a link for them, as I'd like to have a go at some carriages for some branch line stock.

Top job!

The detail is deeper than the original Farish and compatible with the birdcage stock with the reservation that it is 3D printed so needs to be cleaned up.

They are FUD and I use a fiberglass pen to fine them down with Halfords undercoat.

They look good, very authentic with the catenary (just kiddin').

Any chance of a close up pic of one of them?

I made one of these a few years back, here's mine.

Mounted on a peco 15' brakevan chassis. In terms of printing it came out quite well, although you may be able to see the printing lines on the roof. This was my first attempt with a 3d printed item.
