Hi,
I'm new to N gauge but fiddling with OO gauge screws and locations is bad enough! Can anyone recommend a suitable magnetic screwdriver?
Thanks

Get a decent set of jewellers screwdrivers (not the really cheap sets).   Personally I sometimes find magnetic screwdriver bits annoying, and anyway they don't work on brass screws and other non-ferrous.  I just use a tiny drop of pva on the tip, if necessary.

Agree with all of the above, including finding magnetic screwdrivers mildly annoying.

And welcome to the NGF, by the way!

I make my own when needed.  Either magnetise the screw driver by stroking the metal shaft with a neodymium "super" magnet or by placing a small neodymium magnet on the metal shaft(near where the handle joins the shaft to keep it away from any bits it will stick to).
To be called pompous and arrogant - hell of a come down.
I tried so hard to be snobbish and haughty.

I find a bit of spit on the end of the screwdriver will allow the screw to be picked up 9 times out of 10.

I suppose waxy capacitors are few and far between these days, @Bealman ?
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.

I    used   a   trimmed   wooden    cocktail   stick   to   start   the   screw   then     a    small    screwdriver   to   finish   the     job,
