Coyote Creek

Oakworth

Winter Scene - run with huge patience and pleasure by Mrs Hesketh who got all ages involved in having a go at running a train. Top marks!

Forum member @steve6331  had a shunting puzzle layout to be used by choosing 3 cards with different trucks on them and then shunting them out into a train......

For some reason taking pics of anything larger than N gauge results in camera failure so  :P
Lucky, therefore, this neat little layout was Z gauge............

Thanks, Mick. Especially the last one!  ;D

Always good to see photos from shows far away.  :beers:

That shunting layout has me intrigued, though.

Quite obviously Kato track and control, but they look like old Farish or Peco wagons with regular Rapido couplings.

How was uncoupling achieved?

Yeah, that's what I was worried about, I like the shunting puzzle concept, always have. But to me, automatic uncoupling is mandatory for such a scheme.

That excellent Bodmin layout at Wigan 2014 had it down to a fine art.

The owner could have at least used a dental tool to lift the couplings.

The hand from the sky works in a small exhibition. I would have liked to see shunting. Properly and magnets and operation
