Last night I was adding trying to add handrails to my C class diesel.  ::)
After drilling all the 0.5mm holes for them I opened the packet of handrail knobs.
God are they tiny! Just about hold them in a pair of pliers.  :o

Out of 12, which I thought would be enough and isn't, I lost 4 to the carpet monster.  :(
I can hardly see the holes for the wire so will just use wire on its own for the rest.
Reckon a small blob of superglue gel will do as the knob as once painted who will know?!  ;)

Been trying out my lining pen today, one of my birthday presents.
Easier to use than I thought. No pics of anything til I have had a bit more practice.

So tonight I'll be mostly paining stonework on my church. Much easier on the eyeballs!  :smiley-laughing:

It is indeed!  :smiley-laughing: Considering I have book on them I should have known...  ::)
I'll post pics when:

A) I've done them all

and

B) I find the 'safe place' I've put my camera's battery charger in!  :smiley-laughing:

I spent last night finishing off the artwork for a Metropolitan Railway "Rigid 8", primarily to see how far I can push 3D printing. The underframe will need a few bits made other ways and I'm currently trying to work out how to make that area work. The original coaches were as the name suggests rigid 8 wheel coaches about 40' long. They ain't going to go around 10.5" curves like that so I'll have to rig some kind of hidden bogies up.

Today I've finally had time to work on the layout drilling holes for point motors and fitting droppers. It's a slow job because its "necessary" to test them properly and run several trains after each one is done 8)

Today actually, I 'as been mostly replacing all the floorboards on the upstairs landing.  That and trying not to go through leccy cables, water pipes and gas pipes. :P

6 hours it took. I'm now heading off for a nice relaxing Radox bath and later a beer or 2. :beers:

I just reminded myself that some time ago I won this on eBay...

....and decided to have a go at building it.

...made several mistakes along the way, but eventually it started to resemble a class 116 (I really wanted a 117, but, hey).

....and finally ready for revenue earning service.

Not quite sure why I painted the undergubbins on the power car grey rather than black, but that's fixable. The other side of the model does not have first class markings as I've run out of yellow striping (many were downgraded to all-second).
Two rails good. Three better.

#115
I also have a bashed 4CEP which didn't stack up against TPM conversions, let alone Farish's superb rtr model, so I had a go converting it intto a 4COR. Just for fun you understand, nothing too serious.

Before....

(yes, it's the one on the left)

....during....

...and after.

You do not need to be a rivet counter to realise it's nothing like the real thing, but I think it has a certain charm.

It uses the same farish side-corridor compartment coaches as the 4LAV (which are equally inaccurate) so the Minitrix middle coaches have been stripped for spares and scrapped.

(Notice the spare rail lying in between the sidings - this will one day be fixed as third rail).

Nice ones, Tadpole! Excellent work. That must be the station clock in the background too :smiley-laughing:

No idea what a real one looks like, but that does look good.

I like the way the station looks too, the terminal building and the canopies... It's making a great home for all that yummy stock.

Muster, 4CORs were regulars at platform 4A at Reading, so you really should familiarise yourself with them!

Maybe they travelled up from Salisbury, so i will keep an eye on platform 4a, do a bit of train spotting and see if yours arrives. ;D
