Class 28 Co-Bo
« on: February 26, 2019, 05:30:03 PM »
I recently purchased a 3d printed body, bogie sides & underframe detail kit for the afore mentioned.  I would be interested to know if anyone has completed an N gauge 3d printed Class 28 & if so which chassis was used & how it was if necessary modified.  The web site I located it on was part of Shapeways/CMAC Models.  The web site also apparently does a pair of bogie side frames & a modified underframe to fit a farish 31.  I have a Farish 31 & the chassis would have to be thinned down plus the Bo bogie when fitted, does not sit in the correct position.  As  a matter of interest a Chinese 31 chassis fits the body beautifully. If anyone can help I would be most grateful.

Just a thought but would a class 25 or 20 bogie fit into the class 31 chassis?

Best wishes
Simon

Yes that's how we do it.

Search the forum and you will find several build threads.

Poole or early Chinese ones do. I have an Ian Stoate one built that way. The class 20 bogie looks right, a class 25 bogie would look odd.
