My 3D printed Ash Pit - unpainted
« on: January 21, 2019, 07:16:09 PM »
This is my 3D printed Ash Pit - unpainted. There are grooves to retain the un-sleepered sections of rail in place for stable travel of rolling stock and access steps at each end. This particular one is 156mm long and has a pit depth of 5mm. It required a rectangular hole to be cut into the baseboard in order to fit it to the layout. I have also created a deeper inspection pit using the same principle. All comments are welcome.

V' nice Delboy.  Is that code 80 rail?

I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Sure beats mine, which is just a hole in the board with no steps.

It would almost be a shame to dirty yours up!
