Another new 3d producer
« on: January 04, 2019, 07:51:41 PM »
I dont think I've seen this 3d modeller previously on the forum.

https://www.3d-pluss.com/shop

Produces stuff in a larger scale as well as N gauge. I bought a couple of bits off him this week and they arrived a couple of days ago. Very quick turn around. I also emailed him with a request. He responded immediately and thanked me for my purchase.

His range is different from other 3d products I have tried in that it is pre coloured, presumably by using coloured material as they are not painted. I think the colours are a bit garish though and I will definitely be painting mine.

He is very cheap. He is currently offering a 20% discount.

I got this lot for less than £8.00 including postage (in UK)

As is the usual case with 3d models, they are less than happy about being glued. I used PVA to glue up the scaffold which is still drying in the photo.

Not a huge range just yet, but hopefully this will grow.
In my opinion, not bad little models. Not up to the standard of FUD from shapeways but that is reflected in the price.

Cheers
Kirky

Most of the stuff is way to modern for me,  but I'm modelling a coast line , 6* boats ordered.

They look like the fences and bits I bought last October on ebay.

[edit]Yes they are. ebay seller 3d-pluss    Seem quite good, I've not actually fitted them yet

[futher edit]Actually, I did use the long brown fences as part of refreshing my modules. Painted of course, I'd never leave anything the original plastic colour.

How long before they get a letter from McDonald's suits?

I ordered some safety ladders and fencing from the seller on 1st January. They have not arrived yet, although it was a Bank Holiday when I ordered and I am in Ireland so used a UK address. I will let the collective know what they are like when I get them. The prices seem good.

I have a few of these, and overall they are very good for the price. I found the skips to be a little over scale, but once you clean up the parts and paint them they look good.

The models are available on Thingyversse etc... so you can print these at home if you have a printer.

The safety ladders and fencing finally arrived with me today, (not the sellers fault I hasten to add). The fencing is, well, fencing, albeit well defined. The safety ladders are something else! A very clever idea in my opinion. The safety hoops just slide over the ladder, (the correct way round of course), and lock into place - a spot of glue on the rear might be needed, but I am very impressed - and the price is, I think, quite reasonable.

Another satisfied customer here, I ordered several packs of the 4ft fence on Sunday, they arrived Tuesday.

The prints are very crisp, very little clean up will be needed.

Most of the items on the site currently are too modern for me, but hopefully these initial offerings sell well enough that Clifford is able to produce more items targeting a wider time frame.

Cheers
Dave

My order also arrived yesterday , ordered 5th arrived 8th, thats good service.
I added some fencing to the order and I like it. Without going to etched brass I don't think you'll better it.  Once I see how much I need I think further orders for fencing will go in.
The rowing boats look right for my layout too. I just need someone to produce Macbraynes ferry the MV Lochearn, but at 338mm long in 2mm scale that might be expensive... back to the plasticard.
