Apart from 4 or 5 N including Bridgford we hope to have the Leeds club's layout of Chapel-en-le-frith Central in OO, the prototype of which is less than half-a-mile from the Leisure Centre and is still in use as a freight line. The layout was in RM a few months ago.   Alastair.

Just over a week to go. Another N layout is the late Peter MacBride's Firefield Hill shed layout which is now in new ownership. The long range forecast doesn't mention snow so hopefully we should be accessible!  Alastair.

Getting close now. Seems no time since we started planning. Weather forecasts no snow so we can relax. Bridgford in trailer ready to move. Hope to catch up with the usual folk and as many new friends as possible.  Alastair.

Grrr. I was intending to go yesterday, but I started shivering at work on Friday afternoon. As my wife has a long-term illness, I had to take one of my son's out to get a takeway for the three of them when I got home (Friday is normally a shopping night), and I went to bed as soon as I got back in.

I didn't manage to crawl out 'til 4pm on Saturday and even then only to pick up food for the boys. I went back to bed within two hours. I crawled out again at 1pm today. Picked up the click and collect order that my wife had placed and have sat around doing nothing since.

The actual dose was the most severe I can remember, but was over in less than 24 hours. The aftermath is a continuing cough, weakness, shortness of breath, headache, lack of appetite and not being able to stand straight because the coughing has pulled stomach muscles.

The weakness has been that bad that last night, my head was aching, I couldn't put the light on to find the paracetamol on the bedside cabinet (as my wife was suffering the same thing by then) and I had neither the strength nor the volition to hunt around for them in the dark and had to do without :(
