Thank you for the welcome. I am in the process of starting again, first started in 1970's but due to work commitments was not able to keep the interest going. Now retired giving it another go. Pleasantly surprised at models are now available.

@greydog - looks very good use of the space, and clever use of the return loop and nice sweeping curves!
Also - I love the buildings on the right as part of the townscene against the backdrop. How did you model those?

 hi since i posted the pic of my layout i have had to move it into another room and guess what the bloody thing didnt fit in any corner properly so i have had to rip it up and start again  :scowl: so i am now starting a 6foot 6 x 3 foot layout hopefully it will have a double figure of 8 in it on 3 levels. the buildings to the right are all metcalfe low relief kits and i have put led strips in each one to light them up they will be recycled into the new layout wish me luck i will need it

Hi Danny and Corbie..
Im not sure if Ive attached the photo correctly but im just at the stage of trying out track layouts  within the space ive got .. which is a inch and a bit  under 6ft x 3ft  off the top of my head ...Ive decided on Kato Unitrack and to model USA 1950

but also may want to put British  diesel  and maybe a guest Steam loco on  at a later date ..so want to keep landscape  a bit neutral... ... its ALL MONEY ... as you know!!

Corbie what does pre grouping steam mean ?  any photos of your  layouts guys ?

see ya
Happy train days ... see ya !
