Welcome Keith,

You will find your way easily enough, just give yourself some time and if you are confused (lots of people on here are ) just ask away.

Morning all, just registered today. Just starting out on my N gauge quest, been a train fan all my life (particularly diesels as my name would suggest). Nice to see a forum with courteous helpful replies and no excessive lols, pmsl etc etc. Look forward to gleaning some info off you experts about my upcoming DCC setup, i'll post updates/pictures as and when i feel they are of sufficient quality to air!  :hmmm:

Hi Clagger and  :welcomesign:

I guessed by your forum name you were a diesel fiend. ;)
Look forward to seeing some pics of what you're up to in N :camera:

Welcome in Andy from another oil-burner fan

Now there's an avatar to attract attention - the King of the diesels

Superceded only by the King of the diesel push-pull sets - the HST  :D

Don't worry about "sufficient quality" as it's very subjective and open to personal interpretation, and there's no minimum standard around here, just helpful advice for improving skills that everyone can benefit from  ;)

Hi Everyone I am new here, I have been collecting for about 30 years I am German by birth  & lived & worked there for many years I collect german & swiss In N gauge but I do have other gauges,

My layout Is a Noch preformed layout called Baden Baden I use minitrix track & I have a four track Morely controller. Buildings are mostly Faller & vollmer.
I am not a very good scratch builder so these kits suit me fine.

In the winter my layout Is In the conservatory & In the Summer It Is in the Garage.
Some of  my stock Is really good Secondhand & the new I buy from Germany. I do have some DCC+ sound but mostly DC. Any useful tips I would love to hear from anyone. Thank you

Hello Babz -  :welcomesign:

You're bound to have some questions but I would suggest you use the search button to see if the answers are already there. If not, don't be afraid to ask as we all started as novices.

I,too, have my layout in the conservatory but it is there all year round

Hi just joined today to basically find out more about N-gauge sets as I'm with a OO set without the space for it.

Now on a quest to find a good starter set and a trawl through the forum
