Any layouts on display?

 :photospleasesign:

It was only one the way home when my wife asked me which was my favourite that I realised i didn't really look at any. Is it just me that goes to shows and doesn't look at the layouts? I find myself browsing the trade stands and homing in on anything interesting rather than admiring the layouts.  :confused2:
Gold Hill - my rule 1, “just for fun” micro layout;

Clouds Hill - My first layout currently on hold;

I'm the opposite - going primarily for layouts, then manufacturers, then traders. :beers:

As promised, some photographs.

Karolia Falls (On30)- with real water!

Burnham-on-Sea (N)

Yorkshire Pennines (N)

GoathlandinOO.co.uk (OO)

Not sure why, but there is a bias towards Yorkshire in these photographs.  :hmmm: ;)

My mini review of the show is here -

Those buildings in burnham look superb
Yorkshire pennines on two levels with that wall and sweeping curves looks pleasant too

Can't take the credit for the Queens Hotel, it was built for me by Ken Ball of Macclesfield. It's now The Reeds Arms and is a Wetherspoons! The rest are mine. Thanks for the comments.   Alastair.

A very well put together and nice looking layout Alastair. Not sure why I only posted one photograph, but I have plenty more in the camera!  :thumbsup:

The video is very nice but it's of John Parrett's 2mm finescale version, not my N-gauge one. We've had them side by side at Poynton a couple of years ago and it was funny watching the reactions when people looked at mine and then moved on. A lot came back as if they were seeing things. I believe the comparison may be on the cards for next September at the same venue. I chose a slightly later period to model as my lifeboat house became the scout hut.   Alastair.

 :claphappy: Moving pictures! Brilliant! Thank you.

I wouldn't like to be sat on a sinking boat waiting on the lifeboat to launch. :D Wonderful bit of animation though. :thumbsup:
