Looks good Greydog
Like danny oy, I too like the Metcalfe kits but have progressed more and more to scratchbuilds using plasticard.

Hi greydog, and welcome to the forum
Good to see you have a layout in progress. Are you running anything yet and, if so, is it DCC/DC and any particular timeframe?

It certainly is, even on a dismal, drizzly day like today.
Where are you based?

I'm thinking I now know where the name 'greydog' came from.
Maybe I should change my forum name to 'egg in a nest' ;)

Ah... not far from me then.
We’ve been to Run to the Sun a few times (when it was a proper festival) with our VW camper.
We have a very informal N gauge group over this way if you are interested?

Hi Marshi and welcome to the forum. How about some information in the Introduction thread? (If I don't mention it, someone else will as there are some nosy people on here).  ;)

David.
I used to be indecisive - now I'm not - I don't think.

Hi David

I've been on and off model trains a few times over the last 50 years.
I recently became interested once again due to a couple of grandsons but I found it a bit boring to start the same things over again (it's new for the kids).

So... I am in the process of trying to get a subway running, all analogue. (Kato)
So far I have one train running back and forth on one track with one stop in the middle.

What I'm shooting for is 2 (3 car subway) trains on 2 tracks with a crossover at each end.
At this point I'm looking at the auto reverse to also be used (somehow) to move the crossover once the train has stopped at the end. (This all causes problems with travel direction once the next train arrives...)

Right now it is all just jumper wires on a table until I have finished the proof of concept.

Welcome aboard Marshi!
