Thanks, the layout is electrically complete but it has been in storage for a year waiting for my daughter to move into her new house and to take her "gubbins" with her  :D

Great looking piece of work.
How slow can it run?

In a few days (30th Jan) Shapeways will increase the price of my HOCT by 50% so if you have been thinking about ordering one now is the time to do it.

As you will see from my other threads I am now able to print my own models in Resin.

I am therefore able to offer the printed model of the HOCT in resin + etch +transfers + blue paint for £22 including postage.  The Shapeways price for the same is £36.67 plus postage.  If anyone is interested please PM me.

I use synthetic enamel paint for the blue which I got mixed and I supply a small tin with the kit.

The rest of the paint I use is a good acrylic undercoat (Halfords) and Humbrol gloss white.

It is easier to paint in gloss, add transfers and then use an eggshell varnish.

Hi, this is really cool. Do Shapeway do the etches as well? If not, where did you get them done? Thanks, (another) Timmo.
If you find a post helpful, thank the poster... Up there to the right of their name! :) ↑↑↑↑↑↑↑

No, I have the etches made for me and when people buy them I supply them with the print (in resin), or if they buy in FUD from Shapeways they send me a request for the paint etch and transfers which is in the Shapeways price.
