The Thomas the Tank Engine Man, By Brian Sibley

Book Review: This is a biography of the Rev. W V Awdry going back as far as his early childhood. Naturally, much of the book covers the story behind the engines of Sodor and the many real-life incidents that inspired the stories of Thomas and his friends.

I picked it up from Foyles in London during my current visit. It's a very engaging read and has given me an insight into a truly remarkable man. Can't rate it highly enough! Definitely recommended.
