British Railways Steam Part 2 1968  – The End of an Era, By Oakwood Visuals

DVD Review: This DVD follows on from the ‘Steam’s Swansong’ and portrays the last 8 months of 1968 with the rundown steam locos in the North West of England with scenes from Buxton and the West Coast line, again with special emphasis on the sheds involved such as Rose Grove and Lostock Hall. Then follows the series of BR excursions featuring Flying Scotsman, Brit Oliver Cromwell, Jubilees and Black 5s and some fabulous film and facts about the 15 guinea special.

Those of a certain age – be prepared to shed a tear.
