I'm sure it will sort itself out , at least the Forum itself is working and it's quite fast at the moment . I thank Paul for all his work and am really greatfull for all his efforts. It's a shame because I'd just got the hang of posting photos now I will probably have to learn all over again but I'm sure someone will help me again.

Just clicked on the link at the bottom of my post and It does take you to my Stonehouse folder .but not if I go to the gallery button and try that way .
Will leave you in peace now I will try to put some photos on  again next week.
I have a Pug and a Steam Railmotor to put on I might do a Utube video this weekend if my mate Greame comes over.

Hi Bob

They are the old folders, they are locked... you can view but not add, until they are migrated into a working form on the new gallery

Bulk uploading works very well.

we now have to cut and paste an [IMG] link, rather than the shorter links previously. any chance of returning to this ( or having a "select and copy" button?)

the add image icon in the "Reply" section seems to be disabled - is this temporary ( I get a No Permissions message)?

many thanks for the efforts lads.

Sorry thats not possible, in this new product at the moment, we had to decide on if we wanted a forum that ran awfully slow with the old media centre or one which ran well and users had to copy the links themselves when bulk uploading.  We decided that it was best the forum didn't hang... ;)

the add image icon in the "Reply" section seems to be disabled - is this temporary ( I get a No Permissions message)?

That is to be removed as it pointed to the old media manager, in the reply section plese click the text " Add image to post and upload to gallery" that appears above and below the box where you type your reply

many thanks for the efforts lads.

Hi Only me  I have just tried to put a new photo in my gallery with success then managed to delete the same one as I deliberately put on a duplicate just to see if I could .
My question now is how do I start a new gallery name as I would like to put photos of my Pug and a seperate one  for the Steam Railmotor I am thick when it comes to all this technology but I can't see anything that says start new gallery name .
Sorry to bother you and no hurry with the answer .
Bob

Hi Bob, this doesn't appear to be an option at the moment, @Tank can we request an enhancement, so users can add a category in their own directory please?
We are just getting old lol :)

Link to your gallery:- http://www.ngaugeforum.co.uk/SMFN/index.php?action=gallery;su=user;u=3442

For the time being I've created the two directories for you until we can address this quirk ! :)

PS I also fixed your sig link to Stonehouse for you !! :D

Cheers Paul.

You can do it! there is a link named "add category" at the bottom of your list of galleries. It's the same, only that is named "category" now.

It must be easy now , I've just put the Steam Railmotor on individually and the The Pug on as bulk upload.
Also put thumbnails on .
All I need to do now is improve my photographic skill.
Will put more photos of them on the layout when I'm allowed down the shed.
Thanks again to Only me (Paul ) and Deibid for their help especially Only me for all his work getting the gallery working .
I just hope you all think my lousy photography was worth it
Bob

Has the 'Mass Upload' been fixed, then, as I haven't seen anything about it? :confused2:

It has been fixed, just uploaded three pictures in a go. It is faster and easier now... just one step!  :NGF:

(btw, I do test software for a living...  :confused1: )

It's all being worked on still, so I'm not signing it off yet.  :D  A few snags left.

Thanks for all of the positive comments and feedback.
