Full House - The 4th Minitrix Class 47
« on: May 24, 2016, 11:35:53 AM »
Two weeks ago I got an email alert from Hatton's that they had just received a mint condition  "The Queen Mother" Minitrix Class 47. I immediately bought it for 45 quid ex VAT, had been trying to get one of these for ages. I now have all 4 of them.

I would agree that they are not as life like as my Graham Farish "Hadrian" but I still love them. Smooth as silk. There are 4 in the complete set as shown by Mr. John's excellent web site. He has forgotten more than I will ever know about Minitirx locos.

I have a special love for these because I spent several happy years riding behind one from Tilehurst (just west of Reading) to Paddington when I got my first job in London.
