For those of us getting older with varying degrees of corrected vision !!

At a recent exhibition I saw a guy placing his locomotives and trucks/coaches individually on a plastic elongated triangle that just fitted between the tracks. The units then rolled down this gadget on by one to sit squarely and accurately on the tracks. I've never seen this before. I've tried searching on the web but can't find one - must be using the wrong search terms.

Anybody know what the gadget is called and where I can get one ?

Hi Baggytrousers,

its called a 'rerailer'

https://railsofsheffield.com/n-gauge-rerailer-gm46-gaugemaster-JJJA11787.aspx

thats the first one that came up on google, £2.95.
however your local model shop should do them too!

ive got one and i must say its the DB's  :D relatively inexpensive when you think about it

Got one - couldn't do without it. I get into a total panic if I forget where I last put it. .....
:)
Size matters - especially if you don't have a lot of space - and N gauge is the answer!

Totally agree, this and my converted pencil torch now complete with a wire hook are the first tools packed for each show!

best wishes

I use the Kato blue re-railers [designed for their track] at about 60p each and scatter half a dozen or more around the layout so there's always one to hand  ;) They are good for locos too. Brian

Re-railers are the best thing you can buy for your layout. Just think for the expense of a Tesco's meal deal (sandwich, drink and other) you have one of the most important tools in a model railway toolkit.
Modelling stupid small scale using T gauge track and IDl induction track. Still have  N gauge but not the space( Japanese Trams) Excuse spelling errors please, posting on mobile phone
