Filing jigs and other tools (soldering iron, files, craft knifes) are not included.

To be clear, I was referring to website orders - Filing jigs are included in the appropriate kickstarter pledges that list them as included!
Thanks,
Wayne.

Good to know.

Given a bit of an 8 hr overrun at work today I bet the NR engineers wished there points were so well planned as yours!
RRV broke 03.30, replacement 08.00 line back 17.30 after S&T could not connect tiebars !! Line should have been handed back 10.00....

Thanks for the info......

I have ordered some bullhead to give it a go. on a small test board.

Any opinions on securing down, I have used "thixofix" in the past with peco track

Hi
PVA and map pins on to a cork subbase seems a common method using rulers or Mk1 eyeball for alignment. The use of a couple copper clad sleepers or the 2mmfsa brass sleeper units with rails soldered in make good track feed points, not forgetting to cut them to insulate. And if done in at ends of track sections help with alignment as well giving a good "fishplate."

Hi Wayne

Hope this isn't a dumb question but I pledged for 5 points plus the switchblade filing jig.

Is the filing jig universal, or do I need a different jig for each different length of point I select?

cheers

Ben A.

Ben,

The different switches are differing lengths and hence angles so I believe that each one requires its own jig but Wayne will confirm.

Jeff.

Hi Ben,

Yes this is true. Same as the bullhead kits, each switch blade angle (A,B,C or AV, CV, EV) will require its own jig).

It was impossible to setup rewards to cater for every combination, sorry.

I will, however, put the jigs on my website before the rewards fulfilment so anyone can order any extra required jigs.
Thanks,
Wayne.

I just added my eleventh-hour support. The closing date clashed with a Significant Birthday for my wife, so there was some competition for my disposable income; but I put in for a couple of points and a jig. Like some other people, I think that working out exactly which points I want is probably going to be more difficult than deciding whether to support the project!

Jim
Believe me. These things always have a logical explanation usually

Hi Guys,

Little progress report, the base plate injection moulding tooling is coming along nicely, the toolmaker sent me some images:

Copper electrodes:

Ready to be spark eroded:

I have also received back the Nickel Silver lost wax cast crossings (200 of them!). These are looking fine and I will show some pics of these hopefully this week!
Thanks,
Wayne.
