Hi Wayne

Not my modelling era (I am strictly Transition period) but they do look awesome (the longest turnout especially so).

Out of curiosity will you have a comparatively short section for the movable switch rail or will you, as prototype, have a long switch rail and more than one tie-bar?

I will have a play with that once I get the base plates to determine whats needed...
Thanks,
Wayne.

A BIG thank you to everyone who has pledged and also upped their pledges!

We are now only 336 from our goal and still over a month to run!

Just working on the 1in15 frog CAD design:
Thanks,
Wayne.

This is a really exciting development. Good-looking modern track is something I've been waiting for for ages!

A couple of questions:
  • The idea isn't to produce what's pledged for and then that's it, is it? The points will go into the general Finetrax range and we'd be able to buy more later, albeit maybe at a higher price, right?
  • How soon after the end date would I need to specify exactly what I wanted for my reward? The reason for this is that, although I know exactly what I need for the scenic bit of my planned layout (nine turnouts and a diamond crossing), I don't know exactly what types I'm going to need and I doubt that I'll have worked it out by next month.

Apart from that, it's full steam ahead. The only question is how much to go in for.

Jim
Believe me. These things always have a logical explanation usually

Well I have now been shown a set of the milled bases by Wayne - they look really good and the long one is realllllly looooong !! .

If you were thinking of these as a away forward to current scene pointwork then you were right , however if you have yet to join the kickstarter funding for the tooling for the track clips please consider a "punt" as it is almost there in a matter of weeks.  A case of so close !!

Oh god yes, the range will finally appear on the British Finescale website, but maybe a month or so after the Kickstarter.

I won't be shipping rewards until end Oct/Early Nov so you have some time to plan yet. I will get templates up soon.
Thanks,
Wayne.

Do you have a feel for how much these are likely to cost once they're on the website? I may increase my pledge if the discount versus the "normal" price is significant, although I've got no idea how many I may use!

I'm not entirely sure yet, the kits cost a little more to produce compared to the bullhead kits, so this will probably show in the final price...
Thanks,
Wayne.
