can we expect new product announcements and new catalogues in january????

Adam1701D

Dapol have indicated there will be a couple of new items, in addition to the stuff already revealed (A3, A4, BoB). Farish normally announce their new items at the Toy Fair in March and will probably also have some new goodies on the way.

The lastest Graham Farish catalogue is dated 2011/12, In the past they have produced supplements when new products were released.

Something which may be of note is that i've heard this year the Dapol catalogue won't be free, but it'll be cheaper than the Farish one.

All I'm waiting for is GF's Mickey Mouse  ::), then that will be the end of my dealings with the 'big two'. Then I'll wait Colin (UM) to make something Lancashire&Yorkshire, oops I meant special. Cheers john.

I imagine that they will continue to have a  free version online.  Their current catalogue is here: http://www.dapol.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=648&Itemid=112  :)

I too have been waiting for the mickey mouse ever since Dapol implied thay had dropped it from their plans when G/F said they would do it.  It had better be good!  Both my minitrix have retired themselves.

Personally I would be interested in things other than L & Y!  Especially a K2 in Scottish form, a Glen, possibly the J37 and J36, or a Caley Jumbo.  Or even an improved Compound.  But I appreciate we have our own preferences.

At TINGS, Farish told us the Mickey Mouse would not come along until later in 2012 as they have been having fun squeezing the coreless motor into such a small tender. I've had one on pre-order since the old King died :(

At Wigan I spoke to the Bachman bloke,I asked him if the train of my dreams was likely to be coming out any time soon.

His reply was not yet, which to me means it may come along later in 2013 as 2012 is going to be a busy ywar for them.

I will ask Dapol Dave the se question when I see him,for the simple reason being that they've done an excellent job of the HST and class 121 bubble car.I can't wait for their class 56 to arrive.

The train of my dreams is an n gauge APT-P,had one as a child in oo gauge with the later updated livery with black around the cab windows. It was a lovely thing to watch. It is currently in storage at my dad's house.

I would consider putting a oo gauge oval together just to run it again.Just remembered,I can.My 7 year old nephew has a train set,and tomorrow morning, santa's bringing him a lovely oo gauge GBRft class 66 from his Uncle Pete.

Could someone, anyone do a Schools class while I'm still around, I'm prepared to pay in advance! Second thoughts on delivery.

I've already put the new GF General Utility Van and Class411 in my wishlist after seeing them in Feb's Model Rail.
Not sure why they sent the mag out in late December.

Warning - bit of a bah humbug moment coming up!

Some modern Southern/Southeastern/Southwest trains EMUs and this is why:

Over 300 Electrostar units regularly running on national rail yet none are produced by a manufacturer.

Over 120 SWT 450 Desiro's running on national rail and yet Farish choose to model an operating company that has less than half of that number.

Would like Farish to recall all the Voyagers and put a decent motor in them

Would also like a Pendolino as it is so beautiful (even though it is not a southern train).

Just one Pendolino, give it to me, a beautiful train, from Italy
