I heard the news headlines on an English speaking radio this morning. I hope that nobody suffered in the storms yesterday and that no model railways were lost.

Storm 'Desmond' has certainly wreaked havoc in the North West of England/Southern Scotland and the scenes from Carlisle are truly heartbreaking :(
I believe certain areas of Lancaster are still without power after 2 days.

One person has died as far as I know from news reports.
