running in loco's

i have an end to end layout so running in new loco's would be difficult what would be best a circle of track on a seperate board or a rolling road?? what do you guys use?? rolling road less space required over the circle of track but more expensive and not sure the outlay could be justified to swmbo

If space is a problem, then I'd get a circle of Kato Unitrack.  Clips and unclips easily, so you could store it no problem.

I would go for the rolling road. Even though it is expensive but it requires lesser space. It will look more elegant. I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to the modelling and this hobby is something which is very close to my heart. Hence I would much rather spend a little extra and make a better looking model.

I'd go for the circle of track because unlike a rolling road it'll let you run the loco in on curves and also find any faults that don't show up on the straight bits.
