I am glad we got this sorted a couple of weeks back in the sunshine :-

cos yesterday we had a new tributary of the River Severn running past the front door,
fortunately not through it !

So...whilst much of the country has at least had some sun we've had RAIN. It started on Wednesday morning at first light and has rained ever since (except or a short while yesterday afternoon).

Don't be so negative Martin, it's tourist session, it's not Rain, it's CORNISH SUNSHINE! It's what we seem to get most Augusts' these past few years so as it is summer time it most be sunshine....   :D
Ah, in that case It's liquid sunshine ...........Doom Bar anyone ? :beers:
I'm sure I'll get used to cream first soon.

Go on, you all love your weather; it's the British way!!  :) :)  (And it keeps you from being  like that lot across the Channel).  imagine queuing at a bus stop with nowt to talk about?  It's what you do: ''Ere Glad, me arthritis  is playin' oop.  Aye Flo, must be cos of weather. It's soony now, an soon was never good for arthritis...' We all know how it goes, and when the Englishman is abroad, his memories are of rain over splendid English hills (and round the back streets of Speke, although you never hear THAT particular bit of climatology in print); and how it rained in the middle of July and at the beginning of July, and even at the end of July... ('Summer' you know).

As I said, you all love it, but, of course as one never admits to such things, I will find my hat, my coat and my water wings and the door (if it hasn't already been used as a surf board), and step out into the nearest (Summer) puddle.  It's the way things are...

By heck - I remember going to the post TT motorcycle races in June at Mallory Park in the 70's and it snowed ???

I'm off to Dorset for the steam fair on Saturday, just packing my wellies and wetsuit as it looks like Tarrant Hinton will be like the Somme again - it isn't a lot of fun in a tent when its like that.

I don't think the weather has been that exceptional this year. A few weeks of warm weather, but nothing to break records. Some thunderstorms and a bit of flash flooding - again, quite normal for summer. A few drizzly days, but not a washout. I've even managed to wear all my summer shirts and I'm back to the beginning again now!!

Mind you, the summer party for our road has been arranged for Bank Holiday Monday, which I think is tempting Providence a bit too far...

Happy holidays,

Chris
