Ear worms?  Nil illigitimus carborundum...
(ask yer old Latin teacher - or Googleing might work).....
"When in trouble, when in doubt, run (trains) in circles..." etc.
There, doesn't that feel better?
Lovely!

Run what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
I may appear to be listening to you, but inside my head, I'm playing with my trains.

The Banana Splits song is my personal guaranteed ear worm remover. Clears out the ear worm and doesn't stick.

However experiments have found that with some people it just replaces their ear worm with itself.

The question should be who is Don Henley  ??? Is his music like pre-cd era??

Maybe he was part of the old spice boys ... And thank you feel free to pay me later.

Er - nowt wrong with the Eagles mind, or their constituent parts - especially Don Henley and Joe Walsh.

dutchkev

He used to have a side project (backing band) called the Eagles or something.  8)

Before my time, but when they split up twas like Zane Malik leaving One Direction !!!!!

(But in black and white) :D

Getting back to the topic, mine today is the riff from Catherine Wheel with "I Want to Touch You", from about 20secs. to about 33 secs in:

Helps keep the pedals turning on a training ride.

RedNex "Cotton Eye Joe". I don't know why. But it is firmly entrenched between my ears and it won't go away. :help:
"Look on my works, Ye Mighty, and despair!"

Plainline.

For some reason, I don't know why I've got the B side of the 1960's Fireball theme stuck in my head. It's called "I'm all alone again". Hav'nt heard it for years so I can't think why!

Could the 'Birdie Song' help ?  Or just make it worse  :D

I've found the best way to get rid of an earworm is to sing it out loud (ideally when there's no one else around in my case...). Or to sing something else. I've found Yellow Submarine works well most of the time.  ;D

All together now - "We all live..."

That will probably get me thrown off the forum!

Chris

THANKS TO YOU I cannot get that ***** tune out of my head!
Each can do but little, BUT if each did that little, ALL would be done!

Essy replace it with the Terry & June theme tune lol

Listen to something more annoyingly catchy?  There's some pop song from th
Eighties with whistling that im trying to avoid thinking about too hard.
Luckily I don't know The title or artist..  :D

Would that be "theme from a silent movie" by the late great underestimated Hurricane Smith ?

That would be 1970s, and the music was the theme song for a West Midlands radio station's sports programme presented by Tony Butler.

Best regards,

Joe
