You are correct, this was originally a Blue/Grey one. I stripped the 'Blue' using fine wet and dry leaving the grey as a very nice base colour.

The number and lining is a one piece transfer that i had custom made for me by Cambrian Driver Dave.

thats very nice mate, how much did those custom mades cost?

iv got a few of those blue/greys reserved, got to wait until new year to buy them lol, think they might look good on my new nymr style layout as a special locomotive/train :)

Transfers cost me £15. May seem a fair bit but this was for a complete set of 4 (99347,99348,99350,99352)

I've got another Blue/Grey awaiting conversion which i will be 'attacking' shortly

well im debating on either converting these pullmans into West Coast Railway pullmans or into NYMR pullmans...or even my own custom pullmans named after people i value :)

Iv only just got round to repainting my pullmans, and messaged cambrain driver dave about transfers.

Iv painted them using humbrol paint, crimson i believe as it looks pretty close to wcrc livery.

However they are a different shade to the mk1s i have, anyone else noticed that?
