I started off with an open mind towards the CGI remake, having been such a fan of the original puppets (seen on repeat obviously, I ain't that old! :D ).

After watching the first three I haven't watched any more, just not as captivating as the old ones with no tension whatsoever. Another classic ruined by modern animation and being aimed at those with the attention span of a gnat

Oh, that be what I saw then... the remake. I will look again!  :beers:

I was talking about Thunderbirds ;)

Oops  :-[

Must say I prefer the originals myself. The modelling in them (not just Tbirds, but the rest, such as UFO and even Stingray) is certainly inspirational for railway modellers.  :beers:

Here's another vote for Terrahawks. There was just so much humour in it for 'the older watcher' ;)

Oh dear.... you're  back from  Wigan, then  :D

Don't know if this has been mentioned before on here but there is a documentary about the work of Gerry & Sylvia Anderson called "Supermarionation" on Netflix right now.

Great viewing for fans and modellers.

I don't know why but I always assumed that the Andersons were American but, no they're British.

Gerry comes across as a nice guy, gentle and humble, in contrast to big, bad, Lew Grade.

Gerry's son is a nice guy too.

P.S. Looking forward to the new series of "The Crown" .

I watched this some time ago, and remember some of the early ones, starting with 'Supercar', also Fireball XL5 and Stingray.

I don't remember the ones before this. Some of the series were replayed around 20 years ago on ITV (?) children's channel.

I found the early ones, in black & white, quite spooky, especially 4 Feathers Falls.

Reminded me of the ventriloquist episode in the 1945 British movie "Dead of Night".

I remember being fascinated by Space Patrol in the 60s. It was the first puppet show that featured "realistic " fights with actual fisticuffs.
The years have been good to me, it was the weekends that did the damage.
